Love That Puts The Most High First

Introduction

In a world that glorifies appearance, status, and surface-level success, choosing a man who puts the Most High first is a sacred decision. This kind of man doesn’t just wear the title of “spiritual”—he walks in it. His strength is not in charm, but in obedience. He seeks wisdom from the laws, the prophets, and the words of the Most High.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

His actions are filtered through reverence, not pride. He knows that leadership in a relationship means service and sacrifice, not dominance. A man who fears the Most High carries a sense of direction that makes him safe to follow.

Equipped to Lead

Too often, women are encouraged to choose men based on income, street credibility, or popularity. But riches and reputation without righteousness are unstable foundations. “Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith” (Proverbs 15:16). A man who looks good on paper but has no fear of the Most High can still lead you into ruin.

Street credibility may impress the world, but it does not build covenant. “Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them” (Psalm 62:10). If a man gains wealth through wickedness or lives recklessly without accountability, he is not equipped to lead a righteous household. Women of faith must look beyond lifestyle and ask, “Does he walk in truth?”

But while much is said about choosing the right man, the woman must also reflect the Most High’s presence. Before seeking a man of wisdom, she must become a woman of understanding. “A virtuous woman rejoiceth her husband, and he shall fulfill the years of his life in peace” (Ecclesiasticus [Sirach] 26:2).

Her modesty, discernment, and gentleness should speak louder than her appearance. A righteous man is drawn to a woman whose heart is submitted to the Most High—not the trends of the world. As women, we must be the reflection of the same truth we desire. “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised” (Proverbs 31:30). Our preparation is not just physical—it is spiritual.

Rooted in Spiritual Alignment

When both man and woman are rooted in the fear of the Most High, their union becomes a reflection of covenant, not convenience. Together, they build a home where the laws of the Most High are honored and where love is guided by righteousness.

“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it” (Psalm 127:1).

In times of conflict, they don’t fight for control—they return to the Word for correction. In seasons of joy, they rejoice together in thanksgiving. A relationship founded on spiritual alignment won’t be perfect, but it will be protected.

A faithful friend is a strong defense: and he that hath found such a one hath found a treasure”  (Ecclesiasticus [Sirach] 6:14).

Choosing a man who puts the Most High first means choosing a future rooted in wisdom, peace, and purpose—and becoming a woman who does the same ensures you are ready to walk beside him in truth.
